Yes, if you studied an undergraduate programme, you will be eligible for an alumni discount.

Further information about financing your studies is available here.

Yes, you can, and your application will still be considered. Your offer will be based on the requirements of the course; however, if your final results do not meet the requirements, we will suggest an alternative programme from our range of courses.

On some courses you may be able to use your experience to demonstrate a suitable level of skills. When you apply, you should attach your CV and a reference.

If you’re planning on applying to multiple universities, you must apply via UCAS. You will need our institution name: BUCB and our institution code: B35.

If you already know you want to study at University College Birmingham, then you can make a direct application to us and you don’t need to go via UCAS. You don’t need to pay any fees, you won’t need to write a personal statement (UK students only) and you’ll receive a response within 2 working days.

If you have previously studied at a higher education level (e.g. HND, Foundation degree or an NVQ Level 5) but don’t yet have a full undergraduate degree, by studying for a further year at University College Birmingham, you can ‘top-up’ your course and achieve a full bachelor’s degree.

Many of our undergraduate degree courses offer a ‘top-up’ option. Using credits from your previous studies, this means you only need to study the final year of our course in order to receive a full BA/BSc (Hons) degree in that subject, further enhancing your career prospects and also opening the doors to postgraduate study.

Simply check the entry requirements under your desired top-up to confirm if your previous studies are suitable to progress with us – and if you’re not sure, you can always contact us before you apply.
